Calum and Bree's Relaxed Rural Wedding

From online dating to real life meet-cute

After meeting online in 2013, Calum and Bree’s first date spanned nearly seven hours. Calum had chosen a restaurant in the city to take Bree out for dinner, but managed to get them lost on the way. They walked and talked for hours trying to find the elusive venue. In the end, they gave up and got burgers. A couple of weeks later, they were officially a couple! Fast forward to 2016, and a casual trip to Arthurs Seat turned into a surprise proposal. The couple instantly knew they wanted their wedding day to be fun, low-key, and to feel like a big ol' party.

A choreographed first dance, a homemade wedding cake, and DIY florals.

Having found their dream wedding venue on the Mornington Peninsula, the pair got to work adding their own personal touches to the big day. Bree did her own hair and makeup – and even arranged the florals! A close friend stepped in and busted out an impressive grazing table, Bree's sister made the cake, and our beloved pizza truck rolled in to feed the guests. Add a cracking dance floor (including a choreographed first dance by Calum's sister) and a groom in a kilt, and the whole day was a very good time.
